Moschino
is pleased to announce the launch of a new capsule collection to be released on
the evening of Thursday, February 20, 2014 after the debut of Jeremy Scott’s
second collection as Moschino’s creative director. “Fast Fashion – Next Day
After The Runway” will provide consumers with a set number of items which will
be available for immediate purchase after being shown on the runway. These
purchases will be both online at moschino.com and in the fashion house’s mono
brand stores. The collection will also be available at a select group of stores
from around the world: Opening Ceremony (New York, Los Angeles and online),
Browns (London), Colette (Paris), 10 Corso Como (Milan and Seoul), Hudson Bay
(Toronto), and Luisaviaroma (Florence).
Inspired
by the catch phrase “fast food, fast fashion,” the capsule collection favors
reds and yellows. A new pop-look Moschino logo in these colors adorn both a
smooth nappa leather shoulder bag and a quilted nappa leather shoulder bag, a
belt, a sweatshirt, T-shirts, and a wool maxi-sweater.
Also
“straight off the runway” is a T-shirt with the phrase “I Do Speak Moschino” and
a tee-dress with a cartoon print of Mr. Funtastik, a light-hearted allusion to
the images on the packaging of the snacks consumed by the fast-food
generation.
Finally, the new cult accessories
include a rucksack in leather and printed nylon and an iPhone cover called
“French Fry Case,” designed to look like a real take-away box of French
fries.
These new designs from Jeremy
Scott favor the new pop culture generation and will resonate with them on a
worldwide scale.
