FEMMY Awards 2018

FEMMY Awards 2018 hosted by Dita Von Teese went beautifully.  Essentially as fabulous as the student fashion which was on display.

The excitement was overwhelming throughout the night as 600 of the intimate apparel industry’s leaders gathered for the 2018 FEMMY AWARDS, held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday, February 6th, hosted by Glamour-evangelist™, Dita Von Teese.  Sponsored by The Underfashion Club, the premiere intimate apparel 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the FEMMY Awards promote industry and student education. The event broke previous records for money raised.

Gucci Off The Rails

Gucci has gone off the rails.  In other words, they may have lost control of the proper direction for the brand.  Yes, it is very possible that it is I that has fallen out of touch and not Gucci.  However, it is my personal opinion, that the brand is not on track with what had made them successful in the past.  And yes, I do understand that a brand can not rely on the past and must embrace change for the future to maintain relevant on modern society.  However, I always thought of Gucci as classic luxury brand (timeless luxury).  Clearly I have not been paying attention.  Or maybe it has been their company management that has not been paying attention.  Does the following photo of this high cost fashion brand inspire a sense of luxury?  To be honest, it makes me think of heroin.
