Flexing its muscles, this year’s 31st annual Swimwear Association of
Florida’s SwimShow will expand its swimwear options for men after seeing a 20
percent growth in the category last year alone.
This year’s
31st annual global trade show will welcome more than 8,500 attendees
and 2,500 brands from 60 countries. Men’s swimwear has been a part of the show
for years, but is continuing its upward expansion in response to recent
demand.
“Men’s
swimwear in particular took the leading spotlight last year with its incredible
20 percent boost in sales, which encouraged more manufacturers to show larger
selections this year and take advantage of this resurgence in the men’s market,”
said Judy Stein, Executive Director of the Swimwear Association of Florida.
“Men’s swimwear offers greater quality, variety, creativity and style than ever,
making this July the perfect time to review and purchase the latest and
greatest.”
Some of the
men’s swimwear lines being featured this year include Parke & Ronen, Orlebar
Brown, 2 (x)ist,
Retromarine, Onia, Whittall and Shon, Andrew Christian, Win Win, Crasqi,
Bayahibe, Venroy, Venissac, Frescobol Carioca, and Strongboalt, to name just a
few.
In addition
to more men’s swimwear, the 2013 SwimShow also features a catwalk show
highlighting the glamour and adventure of the upcoming cruise and resort season,
after party cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, trend and color seminars, a Swim
Lounge for relaxation and meetings and evening happy
hours.
SwimShow is
also expanding the exhibit space in the convention center to nearly 400,000 square feet in response
to extraordinary demand of so many new swimwear brands that want to enter the
market.
SwimShow is
the premier resource for buyers from all swimwear categories, and caters to
designer boutiques, resort shops, specialty stores, surf shops, department
stores, mass merchants and more. This global trade show includes buyers,
manufacturers, designers, corporate personnel, press, bloggers, fashion
consultants, stylists and other fashion industry leaders. SwimShow features a
variety of iconic women’s, men’s and children’s swimwear companies.
“The mission
of our organization has always been about ensuring that our event stays an
exciting, dynamic and high-value swimwear trade event second to none, and we are
constantly updating and enhancing SwimShow to better meet the needs of the
ever-evolving industry we serve,” said SwimShow organizer Judy Stein. “As part
of that growth, we look forward to showing the best in men’s swimwear this
year.”
