Have you ever put thought into who was behind the first
fashion blog? We are rather curious.
Although it is a long shot, we are wondering if the Think Tank fashion
ramblings on Apparel Search had been the first.
If not the actual first, possibly it was one of the earliest versions of
a style blog.
A blog (originally referenced as a web log) is a discussion
or informational site published on the internet and consisting of entries (posts)
typically displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post
appears first). Originally blogs were most
often the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often
covered a single subject. More recently multi-author blogs have
developed, with posts written by large numbers of authors and professionally
edited. Blogs written by multiple people
include online newspapers, fashion magazines, universities, think tanks, special
interest groups and similar institutions account for an increasing quantity of
blog traffic. The rise of Twitter,
Facebook, Google+ and other "microblogging" systems helps integrate
MABs and single-author blogs into news streams to that they can be easily
located by the masses.
Style blogging can be seen as a form of social networking because
the majority of them have some sort of messaging system where viewers can post
comments and communicate with the author of the post. Fashion bloggers do not only produce content
to post on their blogs, but they also often build social relations with
their readers.
Many blogs provide commentary on a particular subject (the
most important subject obviously being clothing and accessories). Some others function as more personal online
diaries. Some fashionistas keep a daily journal
of their “outfits of the day” (OOTD) in the form of a blog. Others
function more as online brand advertising of a particular designer, brand, or
company. A typical blog combines text,
images, and links to other websites. You can view a good example at the fashion blogger website which is
currently maintained on the WordPress platform.

Do you actually know who created the first
fashion blog on the net? Please
share your thoughts in the comments section below if you have proof that helps confirm
who created the very first fashion blog.
If you enjoy reading about fashion you may want
to follow the Fashion Blog page
at Google. Possibly, they know the
answer to this question.
