Karen
Millen has collaborated with Starworks to cast and develop a film to celebrate
the launch of their two global flagships on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge and
5th Avenue, New York scheduled for Spring 2014. Directed by Mary
Nighy, the film stars four young female emerging creatives from the US and the
UK. Entitled ‘No More Tiaras’ the film is a fun, engaging and affectionate look
at the brands evolution into the international accessible luxury fashion house
it has become today.

Mary
Nighy – The Director
London-born
Mary worked professionally as an actress from the age of 17. Mary started
directing in theatre whilst at UCL, where she graduated with a First in English
Literature in 2006. Her second short, Player, won the Best Directing
Prize at the St Petersburg IYFF and was nominated for Best Short Film at the
Raindance Film Festival and at Miami ISFF. Passionate about giving voice to
untold stories, she is currently developing several feature ideas.
Dylan
Penn – The Screenwriter/Actress
Dylan Penn is a
model, an aspiring writer and director. She is the daughter of Sean Penn and
Robin Wright. Dylan is in the current US ELLE shot by Cedric Buchet, and will be
appearing in Italian Glamour. She is currently shooting a new movie
"Condemned" alongside fellow model Lydia Hearst.
Langley Fox
Hemingway – The Illustrator
Langley Fox is a
freelance illustrator and designer in southern California. After studying
Fashion Design at Otis College of Art and Design and Parson The NewSchool, she
mainly focuses on photorealistic graphite drawings as an illustrator. She has
been featured in Love, Jalouse, W Magazine and Vogue.com with drawings in Love
Magazine and Jalouse. She is currently taking on many commissions with new and
exciting brands and magazines. When not travelling around, you can surely find
her home, hanging with her cat, and coming up with new concepts to
create.
Stephanie LaCava
– The Writer
Stephanie LaCava
is an author and journalist living in New York City. Raised in France, LaCava
began work at Vogue magazine in 2004 until 2010. In December 2012, Stephanie
released her first book, a hybrid memoir of essays and illustrations entitled An
Extraordinary Theory of Objects. Her writing has appeared online and in
magazines such as Vogue, The Paris Review, Interview and Porter and she is the
Features Director of Leith Clark's new magazine Violet. Stephanie was named The
Style Curator as one of “21 New Media Innovators” by New
York Magazine. She is currently at work on a novel.
Adwoa
Aboah – The Actress/Model
Adowa Aboah is an
exciting actress and model. Her first film role was the lead in Erica Dunton’s
award winning film To.Get.Her which won the audience’s vote in the Best Film
Category at Sundance in 2011. She has a diverse background with a Ghanaian,
English and American heritage.
She spent her
childhood growing up in London and started modelling professionally in 2013 and
has since been photographed by some of the industry’s most respected
photographers including Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue, Patrick Demarchelier
for US Vogue and Love magazine with Boo George.
Valentine Fillol
Cordier – The Stylist
Valentine
Fillol-Cordier is a fashion stylist and consultant. Having started off as a
young model and leaving Paris for London when she was only 17, it was while
working and collaborating with artist and designer Charles Anastase that
Fillol-Cordier truly found her calling behind the camera. As well as her
consultancies, she is the fashion editor of Violet magazine and a
regular contributor to Purple.fr. Her styling work has appeared in WSJ, British GQ, Lula, and Dossier. She lives in
London with her boyfriend, her daughter, and her dog, Boris.
Over the past few
seasons, Karen Millen has undergone a significant transformation in order to
create a new visual language that defines the brand today. Working with leading
and emerging creative talent on creating visual campaigns to challenge
perceptions of the brand and make people who already know it take another look
as well as engaging with and inspiring a new generation of
customers.

brand’s design studio based in Shoreditch, London, ensuring that Karen Millen
