Norbu
Designs, makers of handmade jewelry from vintage, found and up-cycled items
has designed some unique pieces for the summer.
Designer
Charlotte Reichman hand makes each piece of jewelry from her studio in Arizona,
often employing Tahitian pearls, Swarovski crystals and Czechoslovakian buttons.
Her summer pieces are light, airy and colorful. Perfect for a pair of shorts and
tank top or to accessorize a sun dress, this statement jewelry will definitely
make an impression on the people around you.
Pricing
falls between the $30s and the $300s at the high end. Charlotte has specifically
designed cuffs, necklaces, bibs and her chandelier collection for the summer
season. Norbu’s designs are perfect for the woman who is looking to add some
personality to their outfit, but isn’t looking to wear fine
jewelry.
Her
backstory is pretty cool; she began designed jewelry while a doctoral student at
Harvard’s McLean psychiatric hospital as a way to wind down from her stressful
day. Norbu’s stuff is great to feature in a summer jewelry roundup, as a cool
write up that features her background or as a story about repurposed or vintage
jewelry.
Below is
one of the pieces she has created summer, bright and colorful, it’s perfect for
the season.
