Determined to bridge the wardrobe gap between mother and daughter, and with a refreshingly fun outlook on fashion as a platform for multi-generational bonding and inspiration, 39NINETEEN.COM launches a fashion blog chronicling of-the-moment fashion and lifestyle trends on two generations.
Inspired by their shared love of all things stylish, fashion student Melanie Ralston, (19 years old) and Christine Bronstein, founder of A Band of Women, (39-ish years old) launched online fashion mecca, 39ninteen.com – fashion & lifestyle trends for the young and “young at heart.” The unique relationship behind the stylish masterminds holds meaning to 39nineteen.com’s genuine creation. As a pact to embrace one another as family, Chris and her closest girl friend promised to raise each other’s children as their own - cue young, hip, and vibrant fashionista Melanie moving in to Chris’ home... and soon, her stocked closet. Melanie had struck fashion gold!
After finding themselves wearing eerily similar outfits on a regular basis, Melanie and Chris were inspired to create a lifestyle and fashion site that shines bright amongst the many that dot the internet.

Christine Bronstein runs A Band of Women, a women’s social network, and a small publishing company called Nothing But The Truth. She has been published on Forbes.com, in The San Francisco Chronicle and on Maria Shriver’s website, MariaShriver.com. Christine and A Band of Women have been featured in C Magazine, 7x7 Magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle, to name a few. For eight years, Christine served as CEO of Axis Personal Trainers and Spa, a health and fitness company. She was also president of Sunshine and Daydreams, a child- welfare foundation for three years. She is a graduate of the Columbia/UC- Berkeley executive MBA program, a mother and step-mother to three children and wife to Phil Bronstein, Center For Investigative Reporting Executive Chair. Her new favorite project is the fashion and lifestyle blog, 39NINETEEN.COM, which she started with Melanie Ralston in May of 2013.
Melanie Ralston is a 19-year- old
fashion enthusiast, artist, stylist and blogger. With two semesters of fashion
school under her belt and the launch of a brand new blog, she currently balances
school, styling, modeling and writing. She has styled a wide variety of people
from musicians to models and, of course, moms. She started the lifestyle and
fashion blog, 39NINETEEN.COM, with
Christine Bronstein in May of 2013.
