Embellished clothes and accessories show no signs of
waning in popularity. American designers Bibhu Mohapatra, The Blonds and
Venexiana tapped Czech crystal manufacturer, Preciosa, for their Spring 2015
shows. From shimmering daywear to crystalized costumes and cocktail gowns,
Preciosa sparkled on the catwalks.

“Preciosa was a huge
part of our Spring 2015 collection, elevating it to the most over-the-top
presentation we’ve ever created!” said David Trujillo, designer for The Blonds.

The designer alliances demonstrate the
versatility of the company’s crystal components; from the glam rock bodices
seen at The Blonds’ show, to the exquisite gowns produced by Venexiana, to
Bibhu Mohapatra’s elegant evening wear.

The Preciosa name entered into the American
vocabulary in 1950, when it began bringing its vast knowledge of crystal
component use in fashion and jewelry design to U.S. designers. The company is best
known for its fine, lead-free MAXIMA crystals, on top of its broad range of
precision-cut crystals, beads, and nacre pearls.
