Who says you can't wear heels to climb a mountain?
Orthopedic surgeon turned shoe designer Dr. Taryn Rose did just that at "Conquer
the Overlook Climb 282" in Baldwin Hills where she participated in a race to
climb 282 steps up a mountain.
Known for 'marrying' fashion and function in 1998, Rose is
revolutionizing footwear once again by creating the 'ultimate heel.' She has
teamed up with engineer/designer Enrico Cuini whose patented "wing" insole
technology not only provides comfort and support, but extreme stability for all
three arches of the foot to deliver high performance wear and shape. There is
currently nothing in footwear like this.
The collection, 'Enrico Cuini for Dresr' will be sold
exclusively through Dresr, a fashion e-commerce platform created by Rose. Both
Rose and Cuini have decided to launch their revolution via a Kickstarter campaign. The goal to raise 100k will go toward creating molds for each shoe
size which will lower production costs than those made by hand.
