BC
Footwear is
releasing two new styles in collaboration with ban.do, a Los
Angeles-based design house specializing in stylish gifts and accessories.
Featuring a foot bed sandal and a lace up style, the collection will be
available in April 2015.
Known for
adding its laidback edge to the latest in footwear trends, BC Footwear initially
approached ban.do in 2014 with the idea of collaborating on a shoe collection. A
cult favorite of celebrities and consumers for their playful take on tech and
hair accessories, ban.do was thrilled with the idea to add their innovative
designs to the BC label.
"There could
not be a more perfect shoe company for us to pair up with than BC. Our brands
are so aligned! Both born in California, we have a similar aesthetic,
personality, and lifestyle. This collaboration is filled with all our favorite
things: bright colors, cute patterns, and fun!" said ban.do.
Inspired by
all things fun with the theme "Put On Your Dancing Shoes," consumers will
recognize BC Footwear's unique designs wrapped in bold colors and two of
ban.do's signature prints - the Supercute Hearts pattern and a ticket stripe
motif.
"The shoes
we've created with the team at ban.do immediately make you smile, which we love.
Every girl wants to express her fun side, and we have provided her with a quick
and easy way to do that," said Sari Ratsula, Queen Bee/President of BC Footwear.
She adds, "Ultimately, we are two brands that make very different products, but
we serve the same customer. We saw this collaboration as an opportunity to
create something that will really blow her away."
The Hip
Hip Hooray sandal is available in black/white, aqua/gold, or pink/gold, and
retails for $60. The lace up Unicorn shoe is available in light pink
stripe, red hearts, or silver metallic, and retails for $70.
The BC
Footwear x ban.do collection will be available beginning in April 2015 at
bcfootwear.com, Nordstrom, Zappos.com, ShopRuche.com, and a variety of other
independent retailers.
