Drexler Off the Apple Board

As reported by Tech Crunch on Google+, Apple has just disclosed to its shareholders that Millard “Mickey” Drexler will be retiring from the company’s Board of Directors, after 16 years in the position. His role will end in March; no one has been named to fill his role.

Wonder if this means he will be spending more time concentrating on the worlds best industry (yes, the fashion industry).  With less time spent on the second best industry (technology industry), he can try to get things rolling at the clothing comanies.

In addition to his role on Apple’s Board, Drexler has been the CEO of J.Crew since 2003. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Gap Inc. (the parent co of The Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy, amongst others).
