These past few years we’ve
seen a surge in brands made by artisans and a rise in globally-inspired fashion.
From handmade jewelry by artisans in Africa or hand-knit sweaters from Peru –
the global artisan has made their way into the Western landscape and has made
their mark as an entrepreneur. This February, MAGIC,
the world’s largest fashion marketplace for apparel and accessories, has
raised the bar once again. They’ve used their global retail platform as an
opportunity to bring artisans and artisanally made brands in. This will
ultimately allow the opportunity for these brands to expand their businesses
along with their knowledge and network within the retail industry.

SOURCING @ MAGIC:
Here attendees
will find over 1,500 exhibitors from 30+ countries on the SOURCING at MAGIC show
floor, but where do you turn for unique, one of a kind culture-based products?
The SOURCING at MAGIC show floor will house a cultural emporium exclusively
dedicated to global artisans. Artists from around the world have been invited to
showcase their unique, one of a kind and culture-based products. Indigenous
communities will promote their arts and crafts – think Alpaca knits from Peru, metalwork from Africa and textiles from India.
