Alvanon Pattern Design Creative & Engineering at IACDE

Global apparel expert Alvanon has announced that it will be exhibiting and presenting at the 2015 International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, IACDE , World Convention being held at the Sheraton Istanbul Ataköy Hotel, Rauf Orbay Caddesi Sahilyolu, Ataköy, 34158   Istanbul , Turkey from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th April.  Alvanon is also a proud sponsor of the 2015 IACDE World Convention entitled “Make it happen!” Collaboration 2.0.

Throughout the convention, members of Alvanon’s strategic consulting team will be available on STAND 2 where they will explain how global apparel businesses can optimize growth and profitability by applying the most cost effective processes and practices to their design, development and manufacturing supply chain operations.  Alvanon experts will also be on hand to demonstrate how its world class technical fit mannequins, pattern blocks and grading systems enable companies to achieve and communicate accurate and consistent sizing and fit standards throughout the product development cycle and supply chain.

In addition, on Saturday 25th April 15.00 to 15.30 Alvanon’s highly respected apparel industry consultant, Ralph Ehinger, senior regional director Americas, will take part in the IACDE convention’s panel discussion on “Pattern Design, the interface between Creative Design and Technical Engineering,” where he will specifically address “Collaboration in terms of fitdevelopment.” Chaired by IACDE president, Roland Schuler, the expert panel will discuss how apparel companies can use the latest computer based technologies to establish and communicate accurate product development information between key elements of the supply chain, from design concept and pattern generation right through to production.  The panel will share details of the most successful 3D virtual product development technologies currently available and evaluate the impact they are having on the traditional roles of creative design, technical design and pattern engineering. They will also explore how these technologies can facilitate collaboration across a global supply chain and explain how business practices and processes need to change in order to maximize the benefits of the new technologies. Finally, the panel will address the potential challenges companies might face when they commit to the latest innovations.
