Zulily and Alibaba is Amazon Nervous

Zulily is an online retailer that targets mothers with daily deals on clothes, toys, and other things for their children.  Looks like Alibaba thinks that they are a good idea.

Alibaba recently bought a more than 9% stake in the company Zulily.

According to regulatory filings, Alibaba said it bought about 4.8 million Class A shares for about $56 million.

Do you think that Alibaba will help get more clothing, footwear, and accessories into the Zulily market place?  Interesting…

Let’s keep in mind that Amazon owns Zappos and 6PM.com is a division of Zappos.

In the opinion of Apparel Search, Alibaba is further positioning for competition with Amazon.
