Online retailer Zalando has become a stakeholder in Bread
& Butter (B&B), as was confirmed by the Berlin trade show.
BREAD & BUTTER - tradeshow for selected brands stands for
all aspects of Modern Urban Lifestyle, offering unparalleled inspiration, energy
& event, brand building & brand caring at the worldwide unique location
of the former Airport Berlin-Tempelhof.
As far as we know at this time, no exact declaration about
the size of the share or the buying sum have been disclosed.
With the help of Zalando as an investor, Bread & Butter
wants to climb out of insolvency until October 1, 2015.
Zalando SE is a multinational e-commerce company that
specializes in selling shoes, clothing and other fashion and lifestyle products
online. The company was founded in Germany in 2008 (by Rocket Internet) and
since then has expanded to offer its retail services in a total of fourteen
European countries. Currently Zalando is operationally active in Germany,
Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland,
Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the UK. The company’s headquarters are in
Berlin.
