The value of the global wearable technology market is
predicted to reach $20 billion this year and $70 billion by 2025. The world is seeing a rapid development of wearable technology being integrated into every aspect of
our lives – to help record the world around us, control our environment and
communicate information between one another. This industry is in a state of
continual growth with no end in sight.
There will also be an interactive exhibit area with prototype
garments contributed by North Carolina State College of Textiles. Including:
- Stretchable electronics screen printed
onto textiles
- Compression shirts with integrated dry
electrodes for electrocardiogram monitoring
- Electrode materials for integration into a variety of textile applications
