Fashion gives
everyone the ability to express him or herself uniquely and personally; music
can make people feel a wide range of emotions and provides inspiration, and
The New York Fame Inc., is where the best of these two
worlds meet.
Co-founded in
2009 by sisters Melisa and Andrene Brown, and friend Nye Brown, The New York
Fame was created as a fashion, art, and music exhibition that supports the
originality of New York's art, fashion, and music scene through a creative,
diverse, and urban platform. Twice a year, The New York Fame hosts its
signature event, Fame Rocks Fashion Week, to enhance the visibility and
awareness for emerging and premier designers, artists, and musicians.

On September 10, 2015 Fame Rocks Fashion Week featured Project Runway Season 6 winner Irina
Shabayeva in its first Designer Reality Series. This season Irina
Shabeyeva showcased her spring/summer 2016 collection at SUSI ROXX
restaurant in The Tuscany Hotel in midtown Manhattan, says co-founder and
executive producer of The New York Fame, Melisa Brown. Inspired by Japan¹s rich
heritage and traditional eighteenth century Geisha style, Irina¹s collection
fused together highly colorful elements and bold textures with her classic,
sleek, and clean tailoring.

The showcase was
held at SUSHI ROXX restaurant in the Tuscany Hotel at 120 East 39th
Street in New York. The event also featured live entertainment from well-known
violinist and America¹s Got Talent finalist Damien Escobar. Emerging
recording artists were part of the music spotlight for the evening (in
partnership with C.O.D.E, Connecting Our Dreams Entertainment, New York Fame¹s
sister company that focuses solely on music). Sponsors included: dedrabeauty.com, Dasani Water, Feriani Floral
Decorators, SUSHI ROXX Restaurant, The Tuscany Hotel, and Yosha¹s Sweet Treats.
