Maloney (NY-12) and Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen will release new information on the economic benefits on the Fashion Industry. New York City is the fashion capital of the world with over 900 fashion companies headquartered in NYC and 40% of U.S. designers calling NYC home. Maloney will release a new report on the economic impact of the fashion industry, and the Deputy Mayor will discuss the City’s Made in NY expansion to the fashion industry, which is catalyzing growth of independent designers and manufacturers and building a pipeline of fashion industry talent here in NYC.
