Barstow Western Shirt

Calling all cowboys…  You are probably already aware, but just in case you are not, here is a little information about the Barstow shirt from Levi’s.

The Western Shirt is a Western wear style that became popular among cowboys, ranchers and other wearers.  It’s defined by a stylized yoke on the front and back as well as distinct pockets, such as “Barstow” (a Levi Strauss & Co. term for a single-yoke pocket) or “Sawtooth” (another Levi Strauss & Co. term for a double-yoke pocket).  Western Shirts typically have snap closures instead of buttons to minimize need for repair among workers.
