Temporary Shopping Jam at Macy's

Oops, Macy's had a "temporary shopping jam" during Black Friday.  The good news, is that Macy's was getting on the ban wagon with offering bigger discounts to attract shoppers, trying to compete with online retailers.  The bad news is that they suffered service disruptions while trying to accommodate online shoppers today.

The temporary shopping jam! message is following by a ten second count down. As you can see below, I took a snap shot of the count down at 7 seconds.
Temporary Shopping Jam
According to Bloomberg, Holly Thomas, a spokeswoman for the largest U.S. department-store chain, said in an e-mail."We are still taking a high volume of online orders, and we are working quickly to alleviate the delay issue, which we hope to have resolved shortly”.

If they are up and running, you can shop at Macy's online now.

Maybe the temporary shopping jam 10 second delay is a ploy by Macy's to get more shoppers.  Possibly, they have created this on purpose as a marketing scheme.  Think about all of the news media and fashion bloggers (like me) that will be writing about this issue.  Maybe more people will now visit Macy's today.

You may also want to think about shopping for clothes on Amazon.
