ascena Donates for Breast Cancer Research

ascena retail group, inc. announced today that through its retail brands, it has raised a total of $5.9 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. The fall fundraising efforts are a continuation of the company's longstanding partnership with BCRF to fund life-changing research and eradicate breast cancer.
Since 2005, collectively ascena retail group and its brands have funded over $45 million in critical breast cancer research supporting 183 research grants at major BCRF partner medical and academic institutions in the U.S., translating to 919,121 hours of research time. The company's support of BCRF has enabled significant progress in advancing research in breast cancer cause & prevention, developing new treatments and diagnostic tests and quality of life research.
