Hanes Face Masks

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, hospitals & first responders are facing shortages of personal protective equipment.

Hanes is retrofitting plants to make medical masks.

It has been reported that Hanes is sharing its design with Fruit of the Loom, SanMar, Beverly Knits and the National Council of Textile Organizations, as part of an effort led by yarn manufacturer Parkdale Mills America.

The Hanes design has apparently been approved by the Federal Drug Administration for use.

Apparel Search is wondering where "all" clothing factories can find access to an approved pattern & instruction on how to make proper protective masks?  We certainly hope that they are not patent protected and are available for use by any company.  If anyone knows where to find the patterns, please let us know and we will add the link below.

Possibly instruction can be found or will later be added to the FDA website.

A pandemic is a disease that is prevalent over a whole country or the world.  It must be taken seriously with proper social distancing and the use of protective equipment such as masks to cover the nose & mouth.
