California Market Center (CMC) has announced new dates for its
two temporary tradeshows that run concurrently with LA Fashion Market, SELECT,
and TRANSIT.
SELECT will now run Sunday – Wednesday, October 13 – 16, 2013
and take place in the CMC’s Fashion Theater, Main Lobby. Show hours will be
9:00am – 5:00pm Sunday – Tuesday, and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Wednesday.
TRANSIT will now run Sunday – Tuesday, October 13 – 15, 2013 and
will take place in the CMC’s 13th floor Penthouse, B Wing. Show hours will be
10:00am – 5:00pm Sunday and Monday, and 10:00am – 4:00pm on Tuesday.
“We have been monitoring Sunday traffic for over a year, and it
has been steadily increasing and gaining momentum,” said Joanne Lee, Senior Vice
President of the California Market Center. “We know there is a segment of buyers
who prefer to shop on weekends, which was why Preview Sundays were created.
However, buyers have been asking for a formal market day so they can shop all of
our resources instead of just the showrooms who choose to be open. Our Sunday
Market traffic is unique, and we would like to see both showroom tenants and
tradeshow exhibitors take advantage of this Sunday traffic, as well as offer a
comprehensive selection of resources to buyers who can only shop on
Sundays.”
