It's My Styl is the fabulous and fun iPhone app for everyone with a passion for fashion and a craving for clothes that allows young women to investigate, evaluate and discover their own sense of personal style, and share it with friends and others like themselves around world.
It's My Styl is excited to announce the launch of a Kickstarter campaign today, June 24th, to raise additional funding to continue to improve the app, grow it’s community, and help young women everywhere develop their own personal sense of style.
Like most young ladies, as two clothes-conscious Swedish High School students, Josephine Eskilsson and Felicia Åkerlund, began every day with the same question: “What should I wear today?”
They knew all their classmates dealt with the same thoughts… What the girls really wanted was to hear what others like themselves thought!
So they set about to create an innovative tool to help people decide what to wear, while also being able to gain valuable input, insight and opinions from their peers.
The result was It's My Styl (originally named, myClosetRoom), a fun, fantastic and helpful app with a rapidly growing community of young fashionistas. The app combines tools to sort and seek clothes within your own wardrobe, as well as to share and get feedback from peers, making new friends along the way.
“It’s My Styl is the new way to experience clothes and styles on your own terms,” says Josephine. We believe that girls and women today are in large part inspired by each other.” “Young women are looking for real influencers they can relate to. And, these influencers are primarily their peers”, adds Felicia.
Now, nearly a year-and-a-half after their initial launch, Josephine and Felicia were able to re-launch the app with a new version, new features, and a new name and are inviting young women everywhere to join the REAL fashion revolution: each person’s own individual sense of style.
It’s My Styl is already being very strongly received. The app recently topped the Swedish app store, hitting #1 on the Lifestyle list and in the top 20 of all apps downloaded, and it’s number of Instagram followers have more than doubled in the past weeks. Now It’s My Styl is expanding internationally.
