History of Levi's from the Archive

Established in 1989, the Levi's® Archives houses a valuable collection of garments, catalogs, advertisements, and artifacts from all over the world. Their company history is preserved by weaving together the past with the present.

Authentic Levi's Archive of Clothing
In 2015 Tracey Panek, Levi Strauss and Co. Historian and Archives Director brought the Archives into the digital age with the introduction of the Virtual Vault. It houses a diverse collection that ranges from iconic garments to 1950s advertisements and vintage photographs that document the company's humble beginnings.

The Archives team is dedicated to the search and restoration of artifacts from all over the world, and they've preserved the legendary Levi's history and legacy by weaving the past with the present.

Check out this behind-the-scenes tour and explore the Levi's® Archives with Tracey Panek, the Archives Director.  https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/blog/article/step-into-the-levis-archives/

Take a virtual tour of the space which dons blue paint, inspired by the famous blue fireproof safe. The one that holds the oldest pair of surviving Levi’s® dating back to the 1800s.

When you are done researching the archive, we suggest you also do some shopping so you can become part of history.  https://www.levi.com/
