Summer of Love Vintage Jeans

The summer of ’67 was a defining moment of the 1960s as the San Francisco counterculture movement came into public awareness.  Although fashion of the year traveled well beyond the city of San Francisco.  San Fran was a primary instigator that defined the fashion of the era.  The fact that Levi's headquarters has been based in San Francisco is possibly a contributing factor to why jeans became such an important aspect of the culture.

In summary, Amazon.com Inc. has unveiled a service that ships up to 15 items of clothing, shoes or accessories at a time for customers to try and pay for only those they don't return within seven days.

If the customer buyers a certain amount of units from the shipment they earn a discount.

The service is available at no cost for subscribers of Amazon prime (which has a yearly membership).

Coats Joins the FTSE 250

Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer and a major player in the Americas textile crafts market, is to enter the FTSE 250.  The latest quarterly review by FTSE Russell, the global index provider, confirms that Coats has met the requisite criteria and will enter the FTSE 250 with effect from Monday 19 June 2017.  This also comes after Coats market capitalisation reaching in excess of £1bn last week. 

Also in June 2016, Coats acquired Gotex, a Spanish based company which designs and manufactures high performance fibres, yarns and tapes used in the telecommunications, energy and oil and gas sectors.  This was the first acquisition for the Performance Materials part of the business. All three acquisitions have proved highly successful with the companies each outperforming their post-acquisition targets.
