Cheap Monday Fashion Game

Continuing its mission to highlight the importance of textile and garment recycling and hot on the heels of C/O the brands sustainability offshoot, Cheap Monday has created a retro computer game where fun meets facts. The game will be launched October 9, 2018, with a highest-score competition.
The aesthetic is inspired by early retro arcade and computer games from the 1990’s and from the brands Hot Dog Maniagame. Music and sound, as well as the graphics are created in-house by the brands graphic design team.

Game story and functionality:

Skully -the game hero- tries to catch as many worn out sport socks as possible, while being chased by his arch enemies Pink Binny, Yellow Binny, Orange Binny and Blue Binny, who want to put an end to his recycling eagerness. To avoid the binnies, Skully can either try to outsmart them or have a beer, to become invisible.

Unlike in real life, the player gets three lives. Game speed increases and the game continues in eternity, until the player has got no more lives left. Between game rounds, the player is introduced to quick facts about the importance of textile recycling; what happens to garments thrown in the household waste and why it is important to recycle.

Recycle or Die! is free of charge to play. It can be played on PC and Mac, with keyboard as well as with retro USB gamepads and on mobile devices.
