LEGLOVE by Kay Dané

Kayla Shelton, former designer behind the renowned clothing line Kay Dané, has officially announced her newest collection: LEGLOVE by Kay Dané. The innovative stylish collection of “shoe accessories” offers an elegantly crafted alternative to boots.

LEGLOVE was born out of the demand for fashionable and versatile boots that can fit all leg shapes and lengths. The glove-like garments are worn over the leg and/or thigh and designed to slip on before your shoe. They can be worn tall, cuffed, tight or slouchy, with any shoe style, giving endless and varying boot looks with one product. For Fall/Winter ‘13, offerings feature premium Italian leather and suede with beautiful hardware. Each pair provides an adjustable wear and secure fit with an elastic stirrup to secure the LEGLOVE under the preferred shoe.

“For years, the boot industry has sized the leg of the boot based upon the shoe size, and that is simply not practical. In a large market of shoes and boots, still many women find it hard to find a boot that fits properly. That problem is solved with this stylish product. It comes in a variety of sizes and lengths and provides the same support and covering for the leg as any knee boot. The luxe look and the many styles can fit into any closet and can easily expand a day-to-day look.” explains Kayla Shelton, designer.

Aside from its customizable fit, LEGLOVE gladly offers an illusion for the leg, giving women the leg shape that they desire. Furthermore, LEGLOVE can conveniently be stored in a travel bag for the busy woman on the go who has a desire for high fashion while traveling, but no space for multiple foot wear.

LEGLOVES are available for purchase at http://shopkaydane.com/leglove/ and an expanding list of boutiques nationwide. They range from $289-$615 retail.

About The Designer: Kayla Shelton

Born in Nashville, Kayla Shelton comes by her creative background honestly. At the age of 17, Shelton was a signed recording artist with both Epic Records and later to Warner Brothers Records. During that time, she honed her musical chops as a professional song writer. She has worked with top artists including Pharell, Christina Milian, Ciara and more. Most recently, in 2012, she co-authored a children's album entitled “We Are Different” (available on iTunes and Amazon) that was picked up by Disney Jr. Radio in 2013. However Shelton’s primary focus has been on fashion since 2009. In 2009, Shelton launched her collection of fun and sexy contemporary women's clothing, Kay Dané. Within 2 years of inception, Kay Dané was found on magazine covers and celebrities such as Keri Hilson and Kelly Rowland. In 2011, Shelton decided to expand her fashion education and took time off to work and learn at Cynthia Vincent’s LA showroom and House of Chapple Design Studio, Atlanta. While honing her expertise, Shelton never stopped experimenting. One day she fashioned a pair of vintage leather pants into what would inspire the very first “LEGLOVE”. After receiving many compliments, her entrepreneurial wheel starting turning. Coincidentally, she had also started to notice that many boot collections were unable to fit the majority of leg shapes and lengths. Hence, LEGLOVE by Kay Dané was born.
