Ali Younes Fashion Designer Intro

Raised within the intimate world of couture design, Lebanese designer Ali Younes presented his first couture collection in 2006 to much acclaim.  Destined to make his mark in the industry, Younes was fascinated by his impeccably stylish mother and his grandmother, who was also a couturier in Lebanon. From a young age, Younes spent hours in her atelier observing her work, which incited his passion for art, fashion, and the female body. This eventually led him to study fashion design in Beirut. 

Shortly after graduation, his modern yet edgy illustrations were so sought after by top fashion houses that he founded his own Haute Couture Atelier. Currently Ali Younes is known for his body skimming designs created with transparent fabrications like lace and tulle, yet he never shies away from heavy materials like leather, duchesse satin and taffeta in order to create volume and a bold silhouette when desired. Swarovski crystals artfully adorn his signature designs to create an ethereal glow under any light. Every piece at Ali Younes Couture, which is currently based in Lebanon and Kuwait, is hand sewn and a team of skilled craftsmen spend hundreds of hours on finishing delicate details. 

Recently, Younes ventured into the bridal world, creating extraordinary custom wedding dresses. Soon to break into the US market, Ali Younes will be presenting his first fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Available at http://www.aliyounes.com/.
