Sophie Simmons Expands Involvement with Fashion Tech Start-up

Model turned fashion designer Sophie Simmons expands her involvement with fashion tech start-up, The Style Club, as Marketing and Public Relations Manager accompanied with an equity stake in the company. The Style Club, is the world’s first seamless fusion of an e-commerce shop, video channel and social platform and in this role, Simmons will be responsible for talent relations, media outreach and creative design in conjunction with creating exclusive seasonal collections. This new post will precede the launch of the Sophie x The Style Club’s New Year’s Eve inspired collection, featuring plus-size options for the first time.

Celebrating the record-breaking success of Simmons’ Fall 2014 capsule collection for the site, which sold out within the first 72 hours, The Style Club announces a special limited release of this exclusive line.  Launching Thursday, December 4th at 6 a.m. EST, the festive New Year’s Eve designs will be available for purchase at 30 percent off only through Sunday, December 14th at www.thestyleclub.com, after which it will return to full retail price.

In classic hues from black to ivory and holiday red to festive wine, the 15-piece collection features rompers, jumpsuits and dress hems from mini to maxi, adorned with French lace, vegan leather, crushed velvet and sequin embellishments.  For the first time in the history of the site, the collection will also offer sizing from 00-18.  The majority of the collection is affordably priced under $100, with the entire collection priced under $200, allowing women of all sizes to ring in the New Year in style!  
“The plus-size market lacks trendy, flattering and fun designs you see in every store,” says Simmons. “Every woman should feel empowered by their wardrobe so I’m thrilled to switch gears in this market by introducing classic, affordable styles that can be worn by all body types.”
