Girls Pop Up in Style

In a big high five to girl power, ban.do - the gift, tech, stationery, and fashion accessories brand that's serious about fun - takes its #girlspopup global by offering a select assortment of unique and irreverent items online.

Curated by Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jen Gotch, the online #girlspopup showcases work from over 20 different artists and brands, and offers a handpicked selection of art prints, stationery, accessories, exclusive collaborations and commissions, as well as disco balls, confetti, and other highly photographable props that ban.do is known for. 

The #girlspopup began as a tiny treasure box in the back of ban.do's LA office - a.k.a. "Party House" - packed with Gotch's favorite things. "These are things I love, by people I love. Some of it doesn't make sense and some of it is ridiculous," says Gotch. "But it's my form of teenage rebellion, and I'm 43 and think I deserve a good teenage rebellion, right?"

The LA shop cultivates personal engagement in real time between ban.do and its #bandogirlgang - the many artists and customers that ban.do interacts with regularly - and will continue to fuel its new online sister in rounding out the ban.do girl. 

ban.do has always been in the business of cheerleading talent and helping artists' work get seen. The wildly popular ban.do agenda features the commissioned work of 12 female illustrators, graphic designers, and artists, all featured on ban.do's website. The online #girlspopup gives even more artists the opportunity to reach a whole new audience. 

"You don't get anywhere in life, and especially in business, without the help and kindness of others," says Gotch. "To know that I might be helping other small businesses or artists by including them in this shop is so personally fulfilling to me that I just might explode, like literally burst at the thought."

Artists and brands featured in the online #girlspopup include: Ashkahn, Ashley Goldberg, Ann Shen, Becky Simpson, Beth Hoeckel, Butt'n Booty, Gabriella Sanchez, Heather Haber, Knot & Bow, Maddy Nye, Northstar Balloons, Sara M. Lyons, Sue Jean Ko, Sugar Paper, Thimblepress, Tuesday Bassen, Valley Cruise Press, Rikkianne Van Kirk, and Various Keytags.
