Designer, Lori Hirons a former NYC banking executive, began working on the designs when she was still a full time banking executive. “I had a long commute into the city and I started brainstorming around with ideas I had.  The first one was the dress we call The Anna.  It is a wrap dress unlike any other.  It completely wraps the woman so there is no unintended flashing in a strong breeze.  It is comfortable and adjustable to accommodate many body types.  I design for the Caribbean (where I live now) and I take the colors and vibes of the islands into consideration for any design or fabric I use,” says Lori.

STRÖM Brand Contemporary Fashion

Swedish model turned designer Erika Strömqvists' denim based contemporary collection brand, STRÖM, is poised to revolutionize the premium denim market as we know it.  Drawing inspiration from her Swedish roots, Strömqvist has managed to strike a chord with diehard denim devotees by designing timeless, sophisticated, streamlined jeans. After years of working with renowned designers such as Nicolas Ghesquiere and Ann Demeulemeester, Strömqvist applied her extensive knowledge of design and fit to create a premium denim collection that focuses on feeling and looking good, without trying too hard.



Launched in early 2013 to much acclaim, Strömqvist's subsequent collections have managed to evolve every season, while staying true to the core ideals of her brand. She consistently churns out fresh and innovative designs that keep her denim enthusiasts engaged and coming back for more.  Her latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection features updated washes of her best selling styles, the Tio Skinny and Nio High-Rise Skinny, even more Selvedge Denim styles, and the brand's signature style, The Poppy, a skinny silhouette with a long folded cuff that gives the illusion of an elongated leg.  Exciting new additions to the collection include their first ever short, the Kort, a high waisted, distressed cut-off and the launch of their Atelje Collection. This capsule consists of a series of ready to wear pieces that include The Tofs Selvedge dress, The Ouzo skort and the intricate Zappa Denim Vest.

The collection continues to evolve for Fall 2014 as STRÖM Brand focuses on expanding both their core and avant-garde Atelje Collection, which includes couture-quality tops in modal and Japanese Indigo knits, new interpretations of the denim jacket like the Oryx Eisenhower Jacket, and the beautifully heroic Elan Parka Jacket featuring mink cashmere. The line will also include bold yet beautiful bottoms including the Poppy Selvedge, the Liger Trumpet Pant, and Moco Skirt/Pant.  The fall campaign, shot by Julian LeBallister is sure to be a game changer in the denim market as supermodel Kirsi Pyrhonen graces the line with her 6'1" frame to further propel the stunning collection into front runner in the fashion forward contemporary world.

Attention to detail is Strömqvist's trademark and is evident throughout the entire collection as she has worked with the best in the fashion and design industry to curate a collection that connoisseurs can appreciate.  Strömqvist's goal is to "raise the bar in women's premium denim and create the jeans that all of the women she was surrounded by in the fashion industry were screaming for - STRÖM is not just another denim brand." Well Kept Fashion Brand Launch Party

New York based contemporary clothing brand, Well-Kept releases her first Autumn/Winter collection.

Launching this season, Well-Kept is the brainchild of 24 year old designer, Brianna DeRose.  Brianna became keenly aware of what she felt was a missing piece in the market, intimate apparel that is chic yet functional. She saw the glaring lack of intimate pieces that can be worn both to the gym and a night out and everywhere in between. The idea for her line Well Kept was born. 

Brianna’s sharp eye, and understanding of a woman’s desire to look and feel fashionable, lets her create intimate pieces that are meant to be seen on their own or layered, integrated into a woman’s complete look.  Her designs emphasize and support a woman’s curvature, a direct result of her close study of the female form and movement and her own vibrant athleticism. The way a piece fits and follows the body in motion is vital in bringing out a woman’s natural sensuality.  Sourcing all of her fabrics for Well Kept directly from Paris and New York, her hand chosen luxurious stretch woven knits and leathers fit and feel as beautifully as they look.

Brianna sees Well-Kept as the base for every woman’s wardrobe. “Well-Kept is a collection which even if you are not feeling ‘well-kept’ or unruly, once you put it on… there is an instant confidence that exudes out.”

Well Kept’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection features bodysuits with mesh paneling; perforated leather sports bras, jersey racer tanks and cashmere slouchy lounge pants.  “The inspiration this season is drawn from minimalist design, Helmut Newton photography, even bits and pieces from 90s cult movie classic, Clueless” explains Brianna.   Standout styles such as the ‘Cher ‘cropped top and the Bobbi top highlights the use of leather details featuring soft  lambskin leather detailing that would look great styled with a plaid school girl skirt or slouchy lounge pants and biker boots for a downtown feel.  

Producing entirely in New York City, allows Brianna to support the Garment District which is a community that she loves and is proud to be a member of, but also allows her close proximity to production, ensuring that each piece is exactly as she envisioned.

Brianna is passionate about helping women look gorgeous and feel comfortable in their own skin.  She creates pieces that harness the power of the way a woman feels when she has achieved that ease and letting her radiate that confidence through what she wears.
